Description:

We are looking for an energetic, positive individual to work as a Controller at our company headquarters in San Luis Obispo, CA. This is not a remote position. 

The Controller is responsible for financial reporting, overall tax compliance, retirement plan administration, and management of accounting department staff. This is a regular full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Oversee the timely preparation and review of monthly financial statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts.
  • Administration of 401(k) profit sharing plan including managing the plan audit with outside parties.
  • Work with outside tax preparers in preparing annual US federal and state tax returns.
  • Manage and oversee state and local government compliance.
  • Manage Accounting department personnel.
  • Interact positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor`s degree or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years management experience or positions in increasingly responsible roles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Must pass pre-employment screening and clearances.
  • Must sign Lindamood-Bell`s Confidentiality Agreement. 

Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is $90,000 per year.
