We are currently hiring for a part-time, temporary event-planning and marketing assistant to help organize a well-established medical conference that will be held September 2 - 6, 2020, in San Diego, California. The position will begin in early April and end following the conference. Applicants must be available to work up to 4 hours per week April – May and up to 20 hours per week June – September.
The employee will report to work at a home office, which is near the Cal Poly campus, and be required to work the event on site in San Diego. We are seeking outgoing, responsible multi-taskers who communicate well in person and in writing. Experience with event planning is desired, and facility with standard office software (MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Google apps, etc.) and social-media platforms is preferred.
The hourly rate will depend on experience and qualifications. In addition, the conference will reimburse mileage to San Diego and cover hotel accommodations and meals for the event.
