Description:

Farrell Smyth Property Management is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for working directly with our clients, managing and maintaining records and providing bookkeeping services for our property management clients.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, journal entries, balance trust accounts daily
  • Process NSF transactions, Post late fees, mail statements, send out delinquent demand letters
  • Prepare financial reports, email monthly financials and invoices
  • Maintain accuracy for all files and records
  • Close Month/Year
  • Maintain good communications with our property owners relating to their financials

Minimum requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience as a bookkeeper and/or educational equivalent
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practice
  • Ability to analyze data and situations, with the ability to multi task and prioritize tasks
  • Must be very organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Team player with good verbal/written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word programs
  • Experience with Property Management Bookkeeping and Yardi a plus but not required
