Assistant Supervisor, Campus Dining Featured

Campus Dining offers a wide variety of restaurants and markets on campus and is dedicated to providing a variety of quality fresh foods and exceptional service in a friendly environment to our Cal Poly customers.

The Assistant Supervisor will assist in planning, directing and supervising all activities associated with the operation under the supervision of the Unit Supervisor. The position is responsible for ensuring that high professional standards are demonstrated in areas such as training and supervision of employees, optimal customer service, sanitation, cash handling, scheduling, production control, inventory levels, preventative maintenance, and a safe working environment. Recommends new products, stays current with the outside market and customer trends.

Salary: $15.00-19.05 per hour

Positions are 10-month appointments, with summers and academic breaks off unless work is available. 

Required: High school degree or the equivalent. Minimum of one year food, retail or hospitality experience necessary, two years preferred. Ability to lift and move 50 pounds repetitively.
