Role Overview:

As our Community Manager, you will be responsible for enriching and growing the volunteer community on Experts Exchange.  You will be in charge of nurturing a key part of the business, the volunteers who share their vast professional experience to help others solve technology problems.

Key Responsibilities:

This position will require day-to-day involvement with internal and external stakeholders to build or enhance functionality that makes the volunteer experience rewarding and effective in providing solutions to problems.  This position will require travelling to attend conferences and meet with volunteers on a quarterly basis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, the people who make it work, and be able to communicate well with the technology professionals, including the following:

  • Build partnerships with technology communities and organizations to grow the volunteer base.
  • Analyze and respond to volunteer feedback on product development and services.
  • Coordinate conferences for volunteers and members of the site.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years experience in volunteer management or a similar field
  • Passion for technology
  • Proven track record managing volunteers spread around the globe
  • Excellent conflict management skills and a team driven approach to problem solving
  • Able to research and understand a variety of technologies and understand their challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
