Next Intent, local CNC & EDM machining and manufacturing company is hiring for position of Purchasing Manager. We are looking for a professional person with 5+ yrs experience in purchasing and supply chain management. Position supports ISO 9001 and AS 9100D Quality Systems, along with managing supply chain in support of Next Intent's Quality Management System.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

Experience in these industries, or in machine shop environment is preferred.
Self-motivated 

Extremely Organized
Computer Literate

• Experience with ERP/MRP software is preferred.
  • We are using Eci Solutions / M1 manufacturing software.

Excellent Communication Skills

Key Purchasing Tasks

• Timely and efficiently prepare purchase orders or Request for Quotations (RFQs). 
• Review bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
• Check in house for material availability, prior to purchasing material. 
• Review orders to determine product types and quantities required to meet demand.
• Negotiate with vendors for total cost/best value
• Confer with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Communicate schedule to operations and manufacturing as required.
• May expedite delivery of goods to manufacturing or outside suppliers.
• Arrange for transportation of purchased products and services.
• Coordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies.
