The Accounting Assistant will perform basic accounting and other administrative duties as assigned, including functions related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, interacting with vendors, clients, and various internal departments to resolve issues.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices and check runs. Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve issues related to discrepancies. Gather receipts and balance credit card statements.
Accounts Receivable: Process receivable payments. Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues. Monitor AR Aging and collections.
Payroll: Enter employee and benefit changes into payroll program, process payroll, run IRA and HSA reports and prepare deposits.
Banking: Process bank deposits, process internal transfers.
Other tasks: Assist with special projects as assigned.
Job requirements:
• Self-motivated individual with high degree of responsibility including confidentiality
• Ability to work independently to resolve problems, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines..
• Must possess strong attention to detail and proficient data entry skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• At least 3 years of experience in Accounting or related field preferred.
