DCPP Outage Administrative Support– Avila Beach, CA

In anticipation for our two refueling outages at Diablo Canyon Power Plant in 2025, we will be interviewing for temporary additional administrative positions no later than January of 2025.

This is an IBEW Local 1245 represented classification, which has over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E and is currently subject to collective bargaining and union dues.

Your employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining unescorted access at a commercial nuclear power plant including passing an extensive background investigation which includes credit check, initial and random drug screen, psychological screen, and completing all computer-based training courses and passing all instructor led classes.

Position Summary

This position will provide temporary administrative assistance to various departments at DCPP.

  • The normal work schedule is a 4 day, 10 hour shift – Monday-Thursday 0600-1630 hours.  

Responsibilities

  • Process personnel records with 100% accuracy
  • Provide excellent, professional customer service
  • Schedule customer appointments
  • Perform daily office tasks (includes answering phones, conducting plant rounds, maintaining housekeeping, performing file audits, assisting training of others, etc.)
  • Use advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Transfer data from paper timesheets to an electronic time collection and reporting system
  • Prepare timesheets for long term storage

Qualifications

  • Must qualify on Clerical Test Battery (CTB) and typing test of 35 wpm before interviewing
  • 1 year clerical experience
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent work ethics includes maintaining confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and team player
