Project Manager
Remote, US-Based
About Bluebird
Bluebird is a nationwide technology services company. We plan, deploy, and support IT infrastructure for multi-site organizations: networking and Wi-Fi, structured cabling, device and hardware rollouts, network closets and fiber, physical security systems, and the ongoing support that keeps all of it running. We work with the same product categories and manufacturers our clients would buy from a large IT reseller, and we deliver the service behind them.
One relationship with Bluebird often means projects across dozens of locations in multiple states, and every one of them needs to land the same way: on time, on budget, and documented to our standard.
Our delivery model is built on orchestration. Projects are scoped through our assessment-first Blueprint methodology and delivered by our nationwide Network of technicians. Our in-house Project Managers own the client relationship, coordinate the work, and sign off on completion.
The Role
We are hiring a Project Manager who can manage anything. Experience in IT, networking, or physical security is a plus, but it is not the point; the technology can be taught. What cannot be taught is how you think and operate. We are looking for people who are genuinely intelligent, extremely organized, and exceptional communicators, and who can run a repeatable framework with discipline across many projects at once.
You will own a portfolio of concurrent projects across multiple states and deliver each one on the Bluebird framework: the same intake, the same cadence, the same documentation, the same client experience, every time. If you have run complex projects in IT, construction, technology rollouts, logistics, events, healthcare, consulting, or any field where deadlines, budgets, and many moving parts collide, you may be exactly who we want.
What You Will Own
Project Delivery
- Run projects end to end: kickoff, scheduling, procurement coordination, technician dispatch, on-site oversight, testing, punch list, and closeout
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across states and time zones without letting anything slip
- Deliver every project on the Bluebird framework so clients get the same polished experience at every location
- Own the numbers: timeline, budget, and margin on every project you touch
Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, manufacturers, distributors, and Network technicians
- Communicate proactively; clients and leadership should never have to ask for a status update
- Write clearly and precisely; your updates, meeting notes, and closeout documents are client-facing deliverables
- Escalate early and bring options, not surprises
Organization and Systems
- Keep every project's schedule, documentation, and financials current in our CRM and project management systems at all times
- Coordinate technician selection and scheduling with our operations team
- Verify work quality through structured checklists, photo documentation, testing results, and closeout validation
- Feed lessons learned back into the playbook so the framework keeps getting better
What You Bring
Required
- 3+ years managing projects with hard deadlines, real budgets, and multiple stakeholders; industry is open
- Exceptional organizational ability; you can hold dozens of moving pieces across many projects and drop none of them
- Outstanding written and verbal communication; you can brief an executive, direct a technician, and calm a client in the same afternoon
- High intelligence and fast learning; you pick up new systems, technology, and industry context quickly
- Process discipline; you can follow a framework consistently and improve it thoughtfully, not reinvent it on every project
- Ownership mentality; when it is your project, the outcome is yours
- Fluency with modern software: project management tools, CRM, spreadsheets, and shared documentation
Nice to Have (Can Be Learned Here)
- IT infrastructure experience: networking, Wi-Fi, structured cabling, hardware deployments, or managed services
- Physical security experience: access control, video surveillance, or intrusion
- Multi-site rollout experience, especially retail, healthcare, logistics, or corporate campuses
- Vendor or field technician management experience
- PMP, CAPM, CompTIA Project+, or similar certification
