Legal Billing Specialist (Remote)

Fully Remote
$60,000-$80,000

A growing law firm is seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to support its immigration practice. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience managing legal billing, LEDES invoicing, and e-billing processes in a fast-paced law firm environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys, legal staff, and clients to ensure accurate and timely billing while maintaining compliance with client billing guidelines. Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, edit, and finalize client invoices
• Process monthly billing and ensure timely delivery to clients
• Generate and review prebills for attorney approval
• Prepare and submit invoices through electronic billing platforms
• Create and manage LEDES billing files
• Review billing entries for accuracy and compliance with client billing guidelines
• Process billing adjustments, write-offs, and corrections as needed
• Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections follow-up
• Respond to client and attorney billing inquiries promptly and professionally
• Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation
• Generate billing and accounts receivable reports as requested
• Collaborate with attorneys and administrative staff to ensure efficient billing processes

Qualifications

• Prior legal billing experience required
• Experience with LEDES billing formats required
• Experience using electronic billing platforms required
• Immigration law experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of legal billing processes, accounts receivable, and invoice management
• Proficiency with billing software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage priorities independently in a remote work environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
