Shipping And Receiving AdministratorWORK LOCATION: San Luis Obispo, CA FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this role is $20 to $28 per hour. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.SUMMARY The Shipping and Receiving Administrator is responsible for overseeing and achieving the proper shipment and receiving of incoming and outgoing products. This includes the timely staging and shipping of outgoing orders while adhering to safety procedures. The Shipping and Receiving Administrator performs work with a high level of accuracy ensuring that the warehouse, planning, manufacturing, and customer requirements are met.RESPONSIBILITIES The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.Oversee receiving and stowing, picking and packing, shipping, inventory management, and documentation.Optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse spaceMonitors the safety and security of goods and materials.Utilizes a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), or other system to track and analyze processes and performanceReviews of orders for special requests and shipping informationReceive incoming shipments. Pull original order(s), match order to incoming shipment and move the products to inventory.Complete RFQ to audit all items received back transportation needs.Audit Bill of Lading to ensure all items received are complete and not damaged or incorrect.Review full cycle accounts in inventory staging area that align all processing counts.Match all original requests, orders, received or shipped products, track late orders with follow-up and documentation, move material to inventory control area, return damaged or incorrect products, document all processes on company computers for record retention, communicate with management on any concerns.Pack products in containers for storage or shipment.Unpack containers for inventory receivingMove material with use of carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklift; backfill material shortages for departmental needsPerform cycle count on inventory and resolve count variances on a weekly basisMaintain data and records related to shipping and receiving activitiesAssembling all incoming PO specifications and creating forecasts with inventory control coordinator rack requireCoordinating with QA on all outgoing and incoming shipments quality statusReconciling all discrepancies on goods received and reporting discrepancies to management when neededAssumes all other responsibilities as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GEDAssociate degree or certification in related or equivalent experience is preferredMust have full knowledge of Hazmat, export compliance and shipping laws3 + years of experience in similar role within a manufacturing environmentForklift experience and certificationFamiliarity with Personal Protective EquipmentAbility to follow verbal and written procedures, good communication skillsWillingness to learn, ask questions, and listen to othersQuality minded with demonstrated attention to detailAble to work cooperatively on a teamREDWIRE DEFENSE TECH BENEFITSMatching 401(k)Paid PTOPaid holidaysMedical, vision, and dental insuranceGroup Short-Term & Long-Term DisabilityHSA and FSA OptionsCritical Care PlanAccident Care PlanCLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS This position may require access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations ("ITAR") and/or the Export Administration Regulations ("EAR"). The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment.
