Charge Entry Specialist

Charge Entry Specialist Schedule: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Assignment Details: Guaranteed Hours: 40.00 Contract Weeks: 13 Requirements: High School Education/GED or equivalent (preferred) Associate's / Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience (preferred) Charge entry billing experience in a healthcare setting (preferred) Current BLS certification (required) Roles & Responsibilities: Review, analyze, and coordinate charge master activities. Accurately enter outpatient charges into the billing system. Collaborate with departments to code billable items for reimbursement. Balance charge summary to encounter forms before updating charges. Analyze reports and software edits to facilitate revisions with appropriate departments. Coordinate projects and audits to improve revenue cycle processes, including charging, billing, and collection efforts. Compliance / Notes: Evening shift - 5 x 8s, typically Monday - Friday with possible weekend shifts as well. Strong data entry skills are essential. Client Details City: San Luis Obispo State: CA
