Position SummaryLeads a store business unit, focusing on creating a consistent and positive customer experience. Assists in the supervision and oversight of all team members and business operations, monitoring and facilitating all production and retail processes, pick‑up and delivery, shipping and quality control processes. Manages the store in the absence of the Store Manager. The Store Assistant Manager is required to perform all functions normally performed by the team member.General Duties and ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates consultative behaviors to ensure friendly, polite, expert service is delivered to all customers.Evaluates the efficiency and productivity of team members in creating positive customer experiences.Resolves customer disputes and complaints to ensure timely resolution and satisfaction.Creates a customer‑focused environment in all areas of the store and monitors cleanliness and professionalism.Establishes and manages a process for customer flow to improve service experience and meet customer needs quickly.Provides training and development of team members on assigned shifts, monitors goals, and provides feedback.Interviews job applicants, complies with company hiring policies, and assists the Store Manager with hiring.Coaches, counsels, and provides performance feedback to team members to ensure adherence to company policies.Maintains communication with the Store Lead Consultant and/or production team to meet deadlines and quality checks.Oversees shipping related services and activities.Communicates daily/weekly/monthly goals, performance to plan, key metrics, customer issues, and company initiatives to the Store Manager and team.Complies with and enforces FedEx Office policies and procedures and maintains controls.Assists the Store Manager in reviewing and transmitting payroll and daily close‑out of POS.Performs other administrative duties as needed, including scheduling, payroll management, training compliance, bid processing, ordering, receiving supplies, and inventory controls.Performs all other duties as required.Minimum Qualifications and RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent education.At least 1 year of related experience; prior supervisory experience preferred.Essential FunctionsAbility to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods.Ability to move and lift 55 pounds.Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees on a consistent basis.Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members.Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction.Ability to function in a fast‑paced environment, under substantial pressure.Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Ability to report regularly and maintain established business hours to support the FedEx Office business.Pay and BenefitsPay: $21.75 – $26.68/hr. The compensation range reflects the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. Actual starting pay will be determined by experience, market level, and other factors permitted by law. Employees may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential.
