Job Summary

The San Luis Coastal Unified School District is recruiting for a full-time, year round Confidential Administrative Assistant to join our Human Resources Team.

This position is differentiated as "Confidential" due to its impact and involvement in collective bargaining.

The essential functions of the assignment may include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as the departmental clerical lead, directing and coordinating the functions of the office as directed by department administration.
- Prepare presentations.
- Compile information, draft, and prepare agenda items for Board of Education and/or Personnel Commission meetings in alignment with Brown Act requirements. Stay up to date with relevant legal requirement changes and maintain compliance.
- Process extra duty stipends for payment, conduct recruitments for athletics and activities, and process employment paperwork for walk-on coaches.
- Process employment paperwork and set up personnel files for summer school employees.

The eligibility list created from this recruitment will also be used to fill any vacancies that occur in this classification for six-months after the recruitment is complete.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Copy of Transcript (Equivalent to 2 years of college courses. Can be excluded only if years of experience meet or exceed minimum qualification requirements. See job description.)
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (At least 1 signed letter from a professional reference (preferably drafted within the past two years, and on letterhead))
  • Resume (Include dates worked in each position)


Comments and Other Information

Fingerprint and TB clearance will be required prior to starting work.
