As a Lifeguard I, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all swimmers and guests, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe aquatic environment. Lifeguards assigned to this position will be working as a lifeguard at a pool.
Typical tasks and representative duties include:
The ideal candidate will have American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification and CPR for the Professional Rescuer at time of appointment and maintained throughout employment; Title 22 First Aid Certification must be obtained within one year of original lifeguard certification and maintained throughout employment. EMT certification can be substituted for the CPR for the Professional Rescuer and Title 22 requirements.
Other conditions of employment include working irregular hours, holidays and weekends, completing INS Employment Eligibility Verification forms, passing a County pre-employment medical exam, and submitting to and passing screening under Public Resources Code Section 5164 in regards to criminal offenses.
