Job Description Job Description Overview:A well-established and collaborative engineering team is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Project Manager to lead technical project execution, team supervision, and client engagement efforts on high-impact infrastructure and environmental projects. This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Civil Engineer who enjoys combining technical depth with leadership responsibilities and is ready to take ownership of projects across California's Central Coast.What You'll Do:Lead multidisciplinary water resources engineering projects from concept through deliverySupervise and mentor design teams including engineers, drafters, and subconsultantsOversee drainage studies, hydraulic modeling, floodplain mapping, and stream restoration designEnsure regulatory compliance with FEMA, RWQCB, SWRCB, and local post-construction requirementsManage contracts, schedules, scopes, budgets, and client communicationsPrepare proposals, participate in RFP/RFQ responses, and lead project interviewsEngage with clients and public agencies to support project success and long-term relationshipsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringRegistered California Professional Civil Engineer (PE)6+ years of water resources engineering experience2+ years of project management experience with supervisory responsibilitiesStrong communication, leadership, and client service skillsTechnical Expertise in the Following Areas:Drainage and detention basin designHydraulic and hydrologic modelingSediment transport modeling and stream restorationFloodplain studies and FEMA compliance (e.g., LOMCs)Water quality design (LID, HMP, BMPs, TMDLs)Software Proficiency Preferred:SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Geo-RAS/Geo-HMSAutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStationArcMap (v10+), WSPGW, LSPC/SUSTAINPreferred Skills & Credentials:Experience with Central Coast PCRs and regional regulatory agenciesFamiliarity with public works procurement processesMaster's degree in Civil Engineering or related fieldCertifications such as CFM, PMP, QSD, QSP, LEED, ENV-SPProgramming or automation experience a plusWhat's in It for You:Competitive compensation with bonus and paid overtimeComprehensive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability InsuranceProfit Sharing and 401(k)Generous personal leave and paid holidaysEngaging company culture with regular team-building activitiesReady to shape the future of water infrastructure along the Central Coast?Apply now to join a team that values technical excellence, collaboration, and real-world impact.
