Plans, coordinates, manages, reviews, and evaluates all potable water treatment facility operations, maintenance, and related activities; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local water quality regulations; performs related work as assigned. CLASS CHARACTERISTICS:This mid-management level, single-position classification administers all potable water treatment functions for the City through subordinate personnel. This class is distinguished from Deputy Director of Utilities/ Water in that the latter has responsibility for all water production, treatment, distribution, telemetry facility, and conservation operations, equipment maintenance, repair and related functions.
