Job Details

To perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled grounds, landscaping, gardening and general maintenance, repair, and construction work functions in the upkeep and maintenance of City parks and/or other City areas; and to operate and maintain specialized equipment related to assignment. Depending on assignment, positions in this classification may have primary responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of designated parks or other recreational/ City facilities; or the operation of specialized equipment in the maintenance of City park turf areas. CLASS CHARACTERISTICS:This job class requires the application of specialized knowledge of skill and functions at a journey level of classification. SUPERVISION SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:Incumbent receives supervision within a framework of well-defined policies and procedures.
