Expanded-Day Learning Support

In an after-school setting, the classroom paraeducator is under the direction of an assigned supervisor, assist a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students; assist in the preparation of instructional materials; provide routine clerical support. Duties will be commensurate with demonstrated ability, training, education and experience.

Education: High School Graduation or equivalent (required) Must meet one of the following requirements: 48 semester college units required (provide transcripts) Pass District Paraeducator Exam Certificate of Proficiency for Instructional Aides (NCLB certificate) College Associates degree or higher EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of the general needs and behavior of children. Experience working in an educational setting (desired)
