Under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer, the assistant athletic trainer provides support for all aspects of the athletic training services for approximately 550 student-athletes. Department Summary Cal Poly Athletics is committed to providing a broad based, high quality, competitive, NCAA Division I athletic program that affords student-athletes opportunities to take advantage of Cal Poly's unique Learn by Doing philosophy. Cal Poly's Athletic teams compete in the Big West, Big Sky and Pac 12 conferences. Cal Poly fields twenty-one athletic teams with approximately 550 student athletes. Key Qualifications Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated ability to apply the principles and practices of conditioning and injury prevention, assessment and rehabilitation.
