• Supervise all employee in the Receiving Department. • Monitors and tracks staff performance against organizational objectives. • Must be capable of all duties associated with Receiving, QA and Put-Away Clerks. • Supervise the receiving, inspection, and put-away of raw materials, supplies,tools, and finished goods from local and international Safran Aerospace facilities and outside Vendors. • Assist the Receiving Department with packaging and movement of received material. • Understand and follow procedures and practices established by process specifications. • Understand quality guidelines, and quality reporting procedures. • Understand basic shop practices. • Understand safety guidelines, regulations, and specifications. • Occasionally read and interpret Engineering Drawings and Blueprints, and other specifications relating to proper identification of shipments, and/or additional shipping requirements. • Responsible for continuous improvements in the functional areas of responsibility. • Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management. • Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements • Adhere to the established communication protocol, including the promotion of regular conference calls, WebEx, and meetings to communicate and/or evaluate current performance and improvement plans. • Some traveling may be required from time to time.Job RequirementsEducation: Associates degree or equivalent additional experience (+ 2 years) Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of receiving experience. Computer Skills: • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems • Proficiency with MS Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook) Other Skills: • Broad knowledge of the field with proven management skills. • Effective oral and written communications skills • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail • Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate. • Strong written and verbal business communications abilities, must be comfortable delivering information to all levels of the organization including senior leadership. • Working knowledge of business finance skills and abilities. Additional Preferred Skills: (not required) • BS/BA • Dangerous Goods certification • 1 year of leadership experience • Continuous Improvement skills (Six Sigma Green Belt, etc.…) • Experience working with aviation manufacturing components including FAA standards and regulations
