A company is looking for a Regional Underwriting Manager to oversee the underwriting department and ensure service level agreements are met.Key Responsibilities:Coach and mentor Underwriters on processes, guidelines, and system workAct as the primary contact for Underwriters regarding questions and clarificationsManage the underwriting pipeline and ensure compliance with service level agreementsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experienceDE, SAR, and LAPP certifications are required; USDA experience is a plus5+ years of Mortgage Underwriting experience with knowledge of FHA, VA, and Conventional guidelines5+ years of underwriting supervisory experienceExperience with Encompass LOS and knowledge of compliance requirements
