Job Description
Title: Surgical Technician

Schedule:
- Shift: Variable, 4 x 10s
- Start Times: 6:30 AM or 8:30 AM
- Call: One night per week and one weekend per month

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Six months of OR experience or completed Scrub Tech course: Required
- Surgery Technician certification: Preferred
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
- 2 years of experience with Ortho, GYN, Spine, Plastics, ENT, and General required. Must have worked in the submitted unit specialty within the last 3 months.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and other medical personnel during surgery.
- Ensure that surgical instruments are sterile and functioning properly.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient care as needed.
- Follow safety and sanitation protocols to provide a sterile environment.
- Maintain accurate patient and procedure records as required.
