About the Role:

The Janitor MM plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the facility. This position is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure that all areas meet health and safety standards.The janitor will contribute to the overall appearance and functionality of the premises by managing waste disposal, sanitizing surfaces, and addressing minor repairs. Attention to detail and consistency in cleaning routines are essential to support the well-being of employees, visitors, and clients. Ultimately, the Janitor MM helps create a positive atmosphere that reflects the organization's commitment to quality and professionalism.

Part time - 28 hours per week

Monday-Thursday 7am-2:30pm Work Schedule

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment usage.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with OSHA safety standards or similar health and safety training.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting floors and surfaces throughout the facility.
• Sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to maintain hygiene and prevent the spread of germs.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste in accordance with environmental guidelines.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and notify management when inventory is low.
• Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for special events or meetings as needed.

The required skills enable the janitor to efficiently carry out daily cleaning and maintenance duties while ensuring safety and compliance with health standards. Physical stamina and attention to detail are essential for thorough cleaning and upkeep of the facility. Pay Scale: $18.00-18.50/hr
