Dishwasher

This position requires the dishwasher to work in a fast-paced environment and help maintain a clean kitchen and dish area by properly washing, stocking, and sorting dishes and kitchen equipment.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.
• Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
• Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
• Properly washes, stacks, and stores China, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
• Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions.
• Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans, boxes and rinsing garbage cans. at the end of each shift.
• Maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
• Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
• Assists other duties set forth or as needed.
• Attends and satisfactorily completes all required training as assigned and required.

Education and/or experience:

• High School Diploma preferred with the ability to work a flexible schedule (late shifts, weekends, or holidays).
• Must be at least 17 or older.

Requirements and skills:

• Food handler certificate required.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English and Spanish.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; for a minimum of 10-12 hours per day, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
