On-Call Event Server | Marcerro at Nightsky | San Luis Obispo, CA

We're looking for on-call event servers who will be responsible for providing prompt and courteous service to our guests, attending to their needs and making sure every experience is nothing short of spectacular. We will be looking to you to make every event dining experience flawless to encourage repeat business.

This is a on-call, onsite, non-exempt position. Flexible availability is needed to work special events. The pay rate for this position is $16.90-$17/hour.

What You'll Do

  • Positively interact with all guests and cater to their appropriate needs in order to ensure the success of food and beverage events.
  • Provide guests with excellent customer service.
  • Accommodate any needs for reasonable special requests.
  • Knowledge of food and wine including the ability to answer questions related to the menu or buffet.
  • Serve guests food & drinks during event.
  • Prepare room for event (set tablecloths, dishes and silverware as needed)
  • Recycle all appropriate items i.e. bottles, cans, plastic, etc. in accordance to the environmental handbook.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Previous banquet experience (preferred)
  • Previous hotel experience (preferred)
  • Ability to think on your feet and work calmly under pressure.
  • A passion for customer service
  • Food Handler and Liquor permits
  • High-School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
