Travel Details

About the Role

We are seeking a technically strong project professional to support a large-scale utility capital improvement program. This position is part of a long-term initiative focused on facility upgrades and infrastructure improvements across multiple regional utility sites.

Projects include office renovations, customer experience centers, covered vehicle areas, wire/material sheds, repaving, and general facility enhancements. All work is construction and facility-based (no power plant projects).


Key Responsibilities

  • Support capital improvement and facility upgrade projects across multiple utility regions.
  • Coordinate construction activities and assist with milestone management (5–6 visits per project).
  • Work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, and field teams.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, construction guidelines, and project timelines.
  • Participate in project kickoff, planning, procurement coordination, and site reviews.
  • Conduct regular site travel—typically 2 times per week—to Reading, Chico, Fresno, and Bakersfield.
  • Utilize construction/project management tools such as Procore or similar platforms.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical field
  • (A Construction Management certification is acceptable in lieu of an architecture degree.)
  • 4+ years of experience in construction, facilities, utility, or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and construction processes.
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional technical teams.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and documentation tools.


Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or CCM (Certificate in Construction Management)
  • PMI‑CP certification
  • General Contractor (GC) experience
  • Utility or field-based infrastructure experience (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in commercial or industrial facility projects
