Salary: $19-$21 per hour

VCA Arroyo Grande Animal Hospital is a busy, small-animal practice in Arroyo Grande, California. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! '

Location: 1199 E. Grand Avenue, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420

Schedule: 4-10s, Monday - Friday with alternating Saturdays

Duties will include:

Tracking scheduled appointments

Assisting veterinarians; ensuring patients are served promptly, multitasking

Drawing up vaccines

Taking a pet's vitals

Cleaning, stocking, and maintaining exam rooms

Animal Restraint

Assist with technical and clerical duties as assigned

Maintaining medical records

Preparing the surgical suite and the surgical patients

Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging

Qualifications:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

At least one year of Veterinary Assistant, Veterinary Technician Assistant, or Room Technician experience preferred

Must have great communication skills,

You must be a "people person" and can interact with clients, doctors, and staff.

Must have a flexible schedule, be organized, be able to handle high phone volume, can multi-task and prioritize
