Key Responsibilities

  • Construction Inspection:
    • Conduct thorough on-site inspections of water and wastewater construction projects, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
    • Monitor construction activities to uphold quality, safety, and permit requirements.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of construction activities, inspections, and any deviations from approved plans.
    • Prepare detailed daily inspection reports.
    • Provide regular updates to project managers, engineers, and team members.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure all projects adhere to plans, specifications, and permitting requirements.
    • Guarantee compliance with SWPPP and MMRP requirements where applicable.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to tackle issues and facilitate smooth project execution.
    • Effectively communicate inspection results, project status, and risks to team members.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and enforce quality assurance measures to ensure materials, workmanship, and processes meet contract standards.

Qualifications

  • A strong passion for water, emphasizing solutions that benefit communities and the environment.
  • Experience in construction, construction management, or inspection, particularly in water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • In-depth knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure design, construction methods, materials, and applicable codes in one or more disciplines, including civil, mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
  • OSHA training and ISO certifications are preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to meet driving eligibility requirements are mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time non-exempt hourly position, estimated at 40 hours per week, with a pay range of $38.00 to $65.00 per hour, depending on experience.
