ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Wireless Engineer for a client in the enterprise networking space-an excellent opportunity for someone with strong experience in Cisco, Aruba, and/or Mist wireless systems who is looking to grow within wireless design, deployment, and post-installation support.

• Design enterprise wireless solutions including predictive RF designs using Ekahau
• Conduct full lifecycle wireless surveys: predictive, AP-on-a-stick, and post-install validation
• Deploy, configure, tune, and troubleshoot Cisco WLC / Catalyst / Meraki, Aruba Mobility (AOS / Central), and/or Juniper Mist (Marvis AI)
• Perform RF troubleshooting including SNR analysis, interference identification, and CCI/ACI mitigation
• Analyze roaming behavior, sticky clients, and client performance trends
• Perform packet capture and analysis using Wireshark, Airtool, or similar tools
• Support wireless security including 802.1X, EAP, RADIUS (ISE/ClearPass), WPA2/WPA3, role-based access control, WxLAN, and Cisco FlexConnect
• Work across network layers including VLAN configuration, PoE power planning, DHCP/DNS dependencies, and NAC fundamentals
• Use centralized management and monitoring platforms: Cisco DNAC, Aruba Central, Mist Marvis
• Produce high-quality documentation including survey reports, as-built diagrams, runbooks, and optimization recommendations

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Hands-on experience with Cisco OR Aruba OR Mist wireless platforms (2+ years preferred)
• Proficiency with predictive RF design, preferably Ekahau
• Experience conducting wireless surveys (predictive, APoS, and validation)
• Strong understanding of RF fundamentals and wireless optimization
• Basic packet capture and analysis experience
• Solid understanding of L2/L3 networking (VLANs, DHCP, DNS, switchport config)
• Knowledge of wireless authentication and access control (802.1X, RADIUS)

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

• CWNA or similar wireless certification
• Experience supporting high-density WiFi environments
• Exposure to NAC platforms (ISE, ClearPass, or similar)
