Location: Pentagon or Mark Center, Washington, DC area (onsite 2-3 times per week)

Clearance Required: Top Secret

Employment Type: Full-time, Hybrid

BizFirst is assisting our client with recruiting a Full-time Management Consultant-II - Sensitive Activities Analyst- Hybrid (2 days on-site at Mark Center in Alexandria). Our client is a boutique consulting firm that employs consultants and professionals with unique skill sets to support the federal government with strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation.

What will you do

The ideal candidate will support the Financial Management Policy and Reporting Directorate by preparing meeting materials, coordinating logistics, and managing sensitive audit requests. This role requires strong coordination, communication, and data validation skills, particularly for DATA Act reporting. As a Management Consultant-II (MC-II), you'll develop solutions, contribute to project success, and collaborate with other team members. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams while maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and lead sensitive activities-related audit requests, ensuring compliance with government standards and facilitating communication between stakeholders.
  • Perform data validation and review for government financial reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the DATA Act and DoD standards.
  • Leverage expertise to drive originality and innovation in problem-solving across multiple complex work assignments.
  • Develop methodologies and present solutions to address broad assignments effectively, ensuring project success.
  • Contribute to project deliverables and performance metrics through impactful solutions and strategies.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project objectives, utilizing depth of experience and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute project tasks, communicate findings, and facilitate decision-making processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, seeking opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' general experience in a professional setting.
  • Financial and accounting reporting experience
  • Strong quality control experience of work products - detailed oriented
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting root cause analysis and financial statement audits for Department of Defense entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with government regulations
  • Proven ability to work with federal government financial systems, including ERP systems like GFEBS and DAI, and performing data validation and reporting in alignment with DoD Financial Management Standards
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to operate with appreciable latitude in developing methodologies and presenting solutions.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Experience in federal government contracting and compliance, with knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and DoD Financial Management Regulations to support contract and financial operations.
