Walker Healthforce is seeking a Grievance & Appeals Coordinator with 2+ years of experience. This is a 6-9 month contract opportunity.
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
2 years in customer service/concierge services
Strong critical thinking, research, problem solving, and analytical skills
Background in writing and/or research to make decisions and prepare letter/response writing
Accuracy and strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong project management skills preferred including management of cases
Strong PC applications (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook).- having the ability to navigate multiple computer systems and databases
Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, English, History, Communications, Law or related field
WE CONSIDER IT A BONUS IF YOU ALSO HAVE:
Recent experience with researching, writing, and analyzing policies/contracts
Higher level degree in business or law (JD)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processing appeals, grievances, complaints, and inquiries received from members, authorized representatives, and regulatory agencies.
Analyze the customer's concerns, conduct necessary research by leveraging various internal and external resources and contacts to make appropriate and accurate case decisions.
Coordinate, facilitate, and conduct managerial level conferences with customers and their authorized representatives to gather and relay information.
Keep an accurate documentation record that details steps and action taken to resolve the customer's concerns. The outcome and resolution of all appeals, grievances, complaints, and inquiries is communicated via written correspondence to the customer using clear and simple language and include elements that satisfy corporate, regulatory, and accreditation timeframes, accuracy and response guidelines.
