We are searching for a dedicated Retail Shipping Manager to join our team and help us share our wines with customers across the country.

Our Retail Shipping Manager oversees all aspects of direct-to-consumer (DTC) shipping and logistics, and ensures that wine shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with all federal and state regulations. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys taking initiative, is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while being part of a collaborative sales team.

Compensation: $25-$30/hour plus applicable tips & commissions
Location: On-site at Foxen Winery
Classification: Full Time (30-40 hours/week), Non-exempt
Work Week: Monday through Friday, some weekend days as needed
Reports to: Sales & Marketing Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily DTC order fulfillment, including packaging, checking weather, labeling, and shipping.
• Coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.) to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
• Monitor inventory of wine and packaging materials; reorder supplies as needed.
• Maintain shipping schedules and ensure all orders meet deadlines, especially during high-volume periods (e.g., holidays, wine club shipments).
• Ensure all shipments adhere to federal and state alcohol shipping laws, including state-by-state shipping restrictions.
• Stay current on shipping regulations and implement changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Serve as point of contact for shipping-related customer inquiries, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with all DTC sales team members to ensure seamless order processing and delivery.
• Assist with wine service and sales in Tasting Room, as needed.
• Assist with wine service and sales at on site events, as needed.
• Work closely with the production, marketing, and retail teams to align inventory, branding, and fulfillment processes.
• Perform periodic reviews of carrier contracts and pricing.
• Develop and implement SOPs to increase shipping efficiency and accuracy.
• Train and manage seasonal or part-time staff as needed during peak shipping times.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in shipping/logistics in the wine or beverage industry.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with shipping software and order management systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Professional in appearance, demeanor, and communications (both written and verbal).
• Enthusiasm for working in a family-run business.
• Knowledge of DTC wine shipping laws and compliance requirements a plus.
• 1+ years in a customer-facing sales role a plus.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
