Mental Health Technician

The Mental Health Technician cares for individuals with psychiatric conditions as well as a variety of substance use disorders, following the instructions of physicians, nurses or other health practitioners. The Behavioral Health Technician monitors a patient's safety, physical and emotional well-being and report directly to medical staff. They will be working 1:1 with patients who will need extensive mental health care.

Minimum Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required

Associate's degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience preferred (or per facility requirements)

Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred

Current CPR if applicable

TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
