Senior Transportation Engineering Project Manager – San Luis Obispo, CA

As a licensed Professional Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to manage high-impact roadway projects from concept to completion, while mentoring junior staff and building lasting client relationships. This is a growth-focused leadership role ideal for a seasoned transportation engineer looking to make a visible difference in the region.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a wide range of public works and transportation design projects, including roundabouts, interchanges, and active transportation.
  • Lead project teams, overseeing design, schedules, and budgets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and public agencies.
  • Develop proposals, scope, and contracts.
  • Help drive business development efforts across the Central Coast.

What We're Looking For

  • BSCE and active California PE license.
  • 10+ years of transportation/public works design experience (or 14 years equivalent).
  • At least 5 years of project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Caltrans standards (District 5 experience a plus).
  • Proven leadership in team supervision and client engagement.
