About The Role

OmniDesign is looking for a Director of Civil Engineering who combines technical expertise with the vision to grow a team and a business. In this role, youll lead design and delivery for public works and land development projects, mentor and inspire engineers, and serve as a trusted partner to clients. Its a chance to take ownership of a high-impact department and play a defining role in scaling a growing firm.

Goals

• Ensure Omni Design provides the best product and client experience as possible.
• Gear the operations towards growth through staff mentorship and retention.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept through documentation for public works and land development projects.
• Develop and perform QA/QC processes for project risk mitigation.
• Assign personnel time efficiently to meet budgets, timelines, and deliverables as planned.
• Develop competitive bids from a budgeting and technical standpoint for private and public work.
• Coaching and mentoring team members.
• Foster team building and collaboration atmosphere.
• Main contact for clients in key accounts.
• Maintain a positive interaction from contract negotiation to construction completion.
• Attend conferences, events, and other networking opportunities in the community.

Qualifications and Skills

• +18 Years of Project Experience in the Land Development and Public Works markets
• Experience managing teams and developing proposals
• California P.E. License
• QSP/QSD Licensed (preferred)
• Project management
• Civil 3D
• AutoCAD
