We are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner who will be instrumental in cultivating our high-performance, collaborative culture and impacting business success through our people. You'll partner directly with global leadership to drive strategic decisions around organizational design, employee retention and development, and employee relations. This is a dynamic, hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in the fast-paced environment of a rapidly scaling organization.

This role is expected to come into the San Francisco office 2 days per week as part of PagerDuty's hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate exceptional relationship-building abilities, cultivating trust with diverse stakeholders to drive collaboration, resolve conflicts, and achieve shared business objectives.
  • Partner with business leaders as a strategic HR consultant, using data-driven insights to identify organizational challenges and develop solutions with measurable ROI.
  • Coach leadership through complex people decisions while partnering on span of control optimization, workforce planning, and organizational design initiatives that drive growth and efficiency.
  • Influence stakeholders across all levels and drive creative solutions that ensure buy-in and successful implementation.
  • Facilitate change management activities including stakeholder alignment, leveraging best practices, and enabling adoption through structured messaging.
  • Support management in planning and executing organizational programs including merit and equity cycles, talent assessments, and succession planning.
  • Manage complex employee relations cases including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution in compliance with global laws and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in business partnering, generalist, or consulting roles
  • 3+ years providing HR support for Sales/Field/Go-To-Market organizations
  • Knowledge of core HR functions including performance management, employee relations, compensation, and organizational design
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and facilitate difficult conversations
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities with experience managing complex employee relations issues
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience scaling processes and organizations in a SaaS/technology environment is highly desired

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is 114,000 - 191,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits. Base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location and may be adjusted based on location.Your recruiter can share more about salary offerings for your location during hiring.
