Growing Personal Care company in Cerritos is seeking a QC Chemist to join their dynamic & innovative team! This is a 6-month contract-to-hire role, offering a pay rate range of $23-25/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Perform tests on in-process and finished products and raw materials.
• Conduct stability testing on finished products.
• Monitor production batches.
• Prepare samples for outsourced laboratories.
• Organize and check inventory of raw materials, finished product components, laboratory supplies, and warehouse supplies.
• Record test results, organize data, perform basic computations, and prepare reports and analyses following standard procedures and guidelines.
• Create specification sheets for raw materials.
• Generate Certificates of Analysis (COA) for finished products.
• Create lab batches to support ongoing product development projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience working with Personal Care or Cosmetics products is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to procedures.
• Excellent documentation, record-keeping, and organizational skills.
