We're Hiring: Safety Inspector - Tank Construction & Manufacturing

Location: Paso Robles, CA (with 40%-80% travel throughout Northern CA, WA, OR, TX, and occasionally other states)
Employment Type: Full-Time (Mon-Thurs, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
Salary: $75,000 - $95,000/year

Your Role: Safety Inspector

We're looking for a dedicated Safety professional to elevate and support the safety culture across our manufacturing, field construction, and tank service operations. This role offers a chance to make a lasting impact while traveling to project sites across several states.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce safety policies and practices to meet company, local, state, and federal regulations
• Conduct field and shop inspections regularly to identify hazards and ensure compliance
• Investigate accidents and near-misses alongside the VP of Safety; support root cause analysis and prevention planning
• Prepare detailed safety reports, tracking trends, incidents, and corrective actions
• Provide training and toolbox talks on topics including fall prevention, confined space, trenching, shoring, scaffolding, and excavation
• Promote safety awareness through coaching and collaboration with team members and leadership
• Stay current with OSHA and industry best practices; complete assigned continuing education and certifications

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of professional safety experience (preferably in construction, tank, or industrial environments)
• Proven knowledge of OSHA standards, Cal/OSHA, and other applicable regulations
• Hands-on experience in:
  • Fall Prevention
  • Scaffolding
  • Excavation & Trenching/Shoring
  • Confined Spaces
• Strong communication, organization, and report-writing skills
• Ability to travel 40%-80% of the time to project sites (including some overnight or night work)
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally 75 lbs; able to work in varied field conditions

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to climb, balance, kneel, crawl, and lift as needed in both shop and field environments
• Vision abilities must include depth perception, close and distance vision, peripheral awareness, and color accuracy
