Classification: Non-Exempt

Job Summary: The Inventory Management Associate plays a crucial role in handling the receipt, documentation, and tracking of goods. You'll communicate directly with the Inventory Manager regarding merchandise issues and statuses while demonstrating flexibility in responding to changing priorities.

Compensation: Starting pay ranges from $17 to $19 per hour, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Inventory Supervisor in various tasks.
  2. Inspect contents and compare them with records to ensure accuracy.
  3. Validate that incoming or outgoing shipments match invoices and orders.
  4. Document shipment data, including weights, charges, and discrepancies.
  5. Select suitable shipping methods based on procedures and rates.
  6. Deliver materials to relevant departments.
  7. Pack, label, and organize materials for shipping.
  8. Communicate with stakeholders to resolve issues, such as damages or shortages.
  9. Manage requisition and storage of shipping materials and supplies.
  10. Calculate factors like available space and shipping costs.
  11. Maintain appropriate stock levels across stores.
  12. Understand vendor warranty and returns policies.
  13. Organize and rotate products by date.
  14. Keep the inventory closet clean and orderly.
  15. Conduct physical inventory checks of the storage area.
  16. Assist with inventory relocation in the market.
  17. Support the return authorization process as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility: This role does not involve supervisory duties.

Work Environment: This position is based in a retail environment.

Physical Demands: Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods. This role is physically active.

Position Type: Full-time with expected working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flexibility for nights and weekends is required during special product launches.

Travel: Minimal travel expected (1-10%).

Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED.

Preferred Experience: Previous retail experience is advantageous.
