Overview

Oxford Collection Hotels is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to manage and oversee the hotel housekeeping staff, providing leadership through active participation in daily tasks. This position ensures the standards of cleanliness and sanitization of the hotel are achieved and maintained to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction. The role involves assisting with budgeting and maintaining labor hours while adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Housekeeping Management (40%) – Manage, lead, train, evaluate, counsel, and discipline housekeeping staff in accordance with company policy; manage time and attendance records, scheduling, and adherence to policies; prepare assignment sheets; actively participate in daily housekeeping tasks; hold regular staff meetings; provide guidance and development feedback to staff.
  • Operations and Administration (30%) – Establish and maintain quality standards for cleaning programs; assist in inventory control and budgeting of products; manage labor costs and productivity; collaborate with the property management team on operational programs; attend hotel management meetings and track departmental expenses.
  • Guest Relations (10%) – Interact with guests, identify issues and resolve problems promptly; provide high level of customer service; maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when working with guests and staff.
  • Other (20%) – Coordinate with front desk, maintenance, and property management to address areas needing attention; participate in the Manager on Duty (MOD) program; adhere to attendance policies; perform other duties to ensure smooth hotel operations.

Additional tasks may be assigned or changed as needed. All tasks are to be performed in compliance with federal, state, local health and safety regulations and Oxford Collection of hotels safety standards.

Qualifications

Preffered Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Housekeeping / cleaning services experience required
  • 3+ years of management experience preferred
  • Hospitality / hotel work experience preferred

Job Requirements

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Reliable and consistent attendance

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and push/pull/carry up to 20 pounds of force
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, and walk on uneven surfaces occasionally
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be able to climb stairs inside and outside in various weather conditions
