We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer III/IV to join our team. As an unmanned aerial systems (UAS) company, we are looking for an individual with experience overseeing small projects and wire harness production work, The ideal candidate should have experience producing, diagnosing and troubleshooting wire harnesses circuits in UAS platforms and should be familiar with Altium for documenting wire harness designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and test electrical systems and components for UAS platforms
  • Develop and debug microcontroller systems and circuits
  • Work with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical systems into UAS platforms
  • Develop and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation for electrical systems in UAS platforms
  • Act as the Avionics liaison between engineering and the production line.
  • Address and close out non-conformances from the production line.
  • Develop and perform electrical tests and test procedures to verify system functionality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality electrical systems
Qualifications:
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting circuits in UAS platforms
  • Proficiency in Altium for circuit board / harness design
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, power supplies, and CAN bus communication
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
Expected outcomes:
  • 3 Months: Work on existing UAS electrical systems projects, learning our development processes and systems. Participate in cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into UAS platforms.
  • 6 Months: Take on more responsibility, including leading small electrical systems projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Take over responsibility for closing out avionics NCRs from the production line.
  • 12 Months: Take over full responsibility as the liaison between the avionics design engineering team and the production line.
Pay range for this role

$130,000-$160,000 USD
