ID: 72796165 Shift: 12H Days 7a-7p, 5 weekend shifts per 6 weeks, floating to NICU, occasionally sitting for Pediatric Description: Unit : Pediatrics | RN- Unit: Inpatient Pediatrics Boise Hospital Flr 4- of Beds: 41- Ratios: 1:04- Required Certifications: BLS, PALS, prefer CPHON is a plus to care for oncology.- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Respiratory, diabetic, surgical- (trachs, g-tubes, shunts, hernia repairs, seizures) SI, and mental health, no cardiac.- Experience or 'Must have' skills: 2 years preferably, ok with first time traveler.- Are RNs required to titrate drips: No- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: No- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift: Yes, try not to take an assignment.- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: Yes, 1: 8 day and 1:20 at night.- Pediatrician in house 24/7: In house during the day, may occasionally take call from home at NOC.- RT Equipment: Home vents occasionally (travelers do NOT need trach/vent experience).- Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit: Not on the unit, if tele is ordered it is remote. RN does NOT tele experience.- Shifts & Scheduling: 7-7, Work with the scheduler to schedule, will allow up to 5 shifts in a block schedule if meets unit needs.- Weekend Requirement: 5 shifts in 6 weeks- Holiday Requirement: potentially- expect to work at least 1 during a contract.- Is there Call or a Standby requirement: No, unless have NICU experience, potential training to float there- Floating Requirements: None- Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided: Any color- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: 2-12 hour shiftsThis facility has a radius rule of 50 miles.
