Major Financials Company in New York City is seeking a Database Engineer (with DBA experience in MongoDB, Snowflake, and Confluent Kafka) for a hybrid role (3 days On-Site/2 days Remote). This is a full-time perm employee role (direct-hire) with excellent benefits package. Role: Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining modern database systems to ensure their optimal performance, security, governance, and reliability. Skills: Design, implement, and maintain database solutions using MongoDB, Snowflake, and Confluent Kafka. Design, implement, and maintain reporting platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Sigma. Design, implement, and maintain data caching solutions such as Redis / ElastCache. Ensure high availability, performance, and security of database systems. Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing. Strong understanding of database design, architecture, and performance optimization. Experience with database backup and recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions. Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, data streaming.
