Company Description

We are partnered with one of the world's most active early-stage venture capital funds, backing over 500 companies across industries with a combined portfolio valuation exceeding $100B. Their track record includes 30+ unicorns and a deep network of elite limited partners, executives, and founders.

Joining their lean, entrepreneurial team means exposure to groundbreaking startups, high-growth venture operations, and an unparalleled platform for building long-term impact.

What You Will Do

As Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will be the connective tissue across all core functions—investing, finance, LP relations, and operations. This role is a unique opportunity to bring clarity and structure to a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and streamline fund operations, ensuring efficient processes across investing, LP relations, finance, and general operations.
  • Manage the execution of investment processes, including capital calls, documentation, and portfolio company disbursements.
  • Partner with leadership to align strategic initiatives and drive cross-functional collaboration.
  • Build scalable processes and systems to ensure smooth coordination across internal teams and third-party stakeholders.
  • Support organizational growth by contributing to hiring, team management, and operational excellence initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Background

  • Experience (2–6 years): Operational or project management experience where you coordinated across multiple stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Strong background in investment banking, management consulting, or venture/private equity operations, OR operational leadership at a high-growth startup.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage demanding timelines with precision, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, unstructured environment where priorities evolve quickly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams, LPs, and external partners.
  • Excited about operational excellence within the venture capital ecosystem (without necessarily aspiring to become an investor).

Preferred

  • Direct experience with fund operations, including capital calls, legal documentation, or portfolio company disbursements.
  • Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university with strong academic performance.
  • Track record of thriving in high-growth, entrepreneurial settings.

Compensation, Benefits, and Other Details

  • Base salary: $150,000 – $300,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Upside potential: Significant long-term wealth-building opportunity through performance-based incentives.
  • Exposure: Direct collaboration with top founders, LPs, and investors shaping the next generation of category-defining startups.
  • Growth environment: Fast-paced and intellectually rigorous, with opportunities to expand responsibility quickly.
