Job Details

Maintain, repair, and operate all aspects of a wastewater collection system, including sewer mains, lift stations, and telemetry systems. Operate a variety of collection system maintenance equipment and tools including hand and power tools, heavy equipment, video inspection systems, and monitoring devices. Install, repair, and clean wastewater lines using a high pressure truck and other equipment Perform trench excavation and shoring of City streets and easements. Operate a television camera within wastewater lines to identify obstructions for removal Respond to wastewater related emergencies such as overflows, blockages, and lift station failures. Establish a safe work area and coordinate activities with employees and the public to ensure safety. Assess situations, determine the proper action, and perform necessary repair work to resolve problems or request appropriate equipment, staff, or contractors to resolve problems.
