This recruitment is a department promotional opportunity and only open to current employees of the Sheriff's Office who have permanent status. The Sheriff's Office is seeking a self-motivated, respected leader to fill the position of Senior Correctional Deputy. In addition to supporting the Sheriff's Office in this new lead worker role the successful candidate will also be responsible for performing the full range of duties related to the custody, supervision, and counseling of inmates, as well as providing direction and training to subordinate staff. You will provide input to supervisory personnel regarding performance evaluations and may be required to act as a supervisor in his/her absence. This recruitment may be used to fill future permanent, substitute, and limited term positions.
