Overview

The Biological Sciences Department, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a full-time, academic year, tenure-track position in the field of cell biology beginning August of 2026. The successful candidate must be committed to quality undergraduate and graduate education and be comfortable teaching a variety of biology courses, as well as implementing a student-centered research program that involves both undergraduate and graduate (Masters) students. The preferred candidate will have expertise in cell and molecular biology with a background in genetics. Special areas of interest may include developmental biology, human disease, and the utilization of model organisms. Candidates can explore connections within the Frost Center for Innovative Research, the Center for Applications in Biotechnology, the Regenerative Medicine program, as well as many other on-going opportunities. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Ph.D. in Biology or closely related discipline required.
