The Senior Research Scientist role focuses on pathfinding of practical leading techniques for quantum computations on Google's processors. This role bridges theoretical quantum protocols and real-world quantum computing by creating methods that accelerate and enhance performance on noisy quantum processors, and on early Quantum Error Correction (QEC) systems in the future. The work includes theory, numerical modeling, and optimization of existing approaches and pioneering new ones for multi-stage quantum experiments to evolve. Google Quantum AI aims to build a large-scale, error-corrected computer and unlock solutions to classically intractable problems.
