Our need is for a senior level, technology-savvy individual experienced in the field of Land Surveying. This role is predominantly office oriented with an opportunity to lead the land surveying services on complex projects along with guiding and influencing the direction and training of team members as we implement and take advantage of emerging technologies. We have a team of surveyors that are excited to embrace and use the changing and emerging technologies of surveying, including terrestrial scanning, mapping by UAV photography and close-range photogrammetry. Your existing knowledge of Trimble hardware and software will be relied upon to continue the development of efficient work flows, both field and office, and standards.
Hours: 40 hours per week. Overnight travel and overtime will be required based on project needs.
Ability to sit at a desk and use computer with related tools for an average 8 hour work shift. Vision to independently view computer screen or printed materials and graphics. Field work will be required on an intermittent basis, requiring the need to possess mobility to work in an outside setting including construction sites and in traffic for an average 8 hour shift. Must be prepared to bend, crouch, lift and twist to carry out job duties. Lift and carry instruments weighing up to 75 pounds over rough terrain. Perform tasks such as clearing vegetation (including poison oak), digging holes, and/or pounding stakes with hand tools. May be required to travel overnight. Ability to operate motor vehicle. Hearing and speech skills to effectively communicate in English in person and over the telephone or two-way radio.
